Sandra Hills
Currently the Chair of the PC also a member of the Community Orchard Committee, Complaints Committee, Planning Committee and Public Rights of Way Committee.
Sandra is the PC rep on the Spaldington Windfarm Community Fund Panel and a trustee for the Hotham and Turner Fund, a local village charity.
Workwise Sandra joined the NHS in 1973 and finally left it in October 2020 working firstly as a Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitor and eventually in very senior management roles. Married to Brent with a patchwork family of 4 children and 8 grandchildren she has a genuine commitment to public service and having moved to Bubwith in 2012 has fallen in love with the place and the people.

Barry Carpus
Barry prepares and composites the Parish newsletter, The Bugle, each month from submissions from user groups. He is a member of the PC Communications and Youth Club working groups and the Policy and Public Rights of Way Committees and is also a volunteer for Bubwith Leisure & Sports Centre.
Additionally, Barry is a Trustee of the Hotham and Turner Fund, a local village charity.Barry is an Electronics Engineer and moved to Bubwith in 2005 from the South when he was working as a Technical Service Manager in Leeds. He is now self-employed as a IT/Computer repair consultant and engineer and is married to Jackie.


Richard Falkingham

Helen Gregory
I have lived in the village since 1995 with my husband Guy and raised two, now grown-up children here. Our children were the catalyst for previous involvement in the local community as I ran the Mums and Babes group at the leisure centre, was chair of the Bubwith Under Fives group and represented them on the Leisure Centre Committee at that time.
I was also a governor at the primary school for two years and volunteered at youth club.
I’m now retired. I enjoy travelling, hiking, and running (very slowly).

Brian Littlejohn

Liz Hayes
Liz is on the PC Policy Group and the Community Orchard and Youth Club working groups. Liz also provides backup support for the PC Facebook page. Liz has lived in Bubwith for 21 years, rides horses as a hobby, is a self-employed Financial Adviser, married no children.


Richard Moore
Dr. Richard Moore has been a Bubwith Parish Councillor for over 30 years he is on the Complaints Committee. Richard has also been Chair of Bubwith Leisure and Sports Centre for over four years and was a trustee before that.
He is Clerk to Hotham and Turner Fund, a local village charity. President and former chairman of Bubwith Tennis Club. A former GP in Bubwith since 1973 and has been a resident here since 1978. Married to Shirley with three grown-up children and eight grandchildren.
Richard and Shirley enjoy village life and host the mince pie and mulled wine evening after the Parish Council carol singing on the Sunday before Christmas. Their large garden and the Leisure Centre keep them busy but Richard manages to squeeze in being a Car enthusiast.

Allen Shepherd
Allen is retired. He was born and brought up around Ellerton he has lived in Bubwith for 51 years and been a PC for many of those years. In his younger days, he was involved in running the youth club, teenage discos, and in the early set-up of the Leisure Centre and playing fields as well as the Annual Field day.

Mike Suddaby
Mike also sits on the Bubwith Leisure Centre Committee. He has lived in the village for 37 years, worked as a driver in the Agricultural Supply Industry. A parish councillor for over 10 years. Joined the Parish Council to give something back to the community.

John Watkinson
John is the Parish Councillor for the village of Breighton and is a Member of the Policy Group Committee.
John worked in the Oil and Gas industry for almost 40 years. Since retirement, he has enjoyed spending more time with my family and taking an active interest in local village life, along with becoming more involved with the community.
